 Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub - American actor, comedian and activist Born in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents Her career began as a child actor soon after her move to the United States. She came to prominence for her appearances in AT&T commercials on TV as salesperson Lily Adams from 2013 to 2016 and since in 2020. Commercial appearances weren't the only thing she did. She also appeared on the Yahoo! Screen science fiction comedy Other Space (2015). Additionally she was a series regular on Yahoo! Vayntrub was also part of the cast as Squirrelgirl in Marvel Rising in 2018 following her appearance in the pilot TV series New Warriors. Vayntrub was born in Tashkent, Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic, USSR, and is Jewish. Her parents, who were just two years old, emigrated to America to escape antisemitism. They settled in West Hollywood. Due to her family's financial troubles and her own financial struggles, she began acting in Mattel Barbie commercials as a five-year-old. Vayntrub briefly attended Beverly Hills High School. However, she quit her sophomore year, and subsequently obtained a GED. Then, she went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication from the University of California San Diego. She studied improv comedy with the Upright Citizens Brigade.
